The “Shoot Your Boots” hunting trip is for two people. You will be hunting with Louisiana Ducks Unlimited Past State Chairman Mike Benge and Louisiana Marsh Adventure. They will be your host and cook at their “field office” the night before the trip, and Louisiana Marsh Adventure will be your outfitter for the day. The trip is for two days with overnight accommodations during the 2022 season.
The trip will include all meals and guides. This will be a unique opportunity to experience alligator hunting, fishing, and Louisiana hospitality. In addition, you will celebrate the successes of American Tanning and the Delacroix Corporation on their efforts to promote and sustain the alligator industry. The trip also will include a second day of fishing in Louisiana. Generally, this is an awesome time for red fish, but speckled trout may be moving into the interior marshes.
Your trip will include a day of harvesting alligators from the property of the Delacroix Corporation. Generally, each boat will harvest between 16 to 40 alligators in a day. Because of the strict regulations regarding shipping and transporting alligators, this trip does not include the actual removal of the alligator from the state immediately after the hunt.
Two of your hunted alligators will travel to American Tanning & Leather, the nation’s oldest exotic leather tannery where they will custom tan your alligator skins and have them manufactured into two pairs of western boots. Should you be interested in purchasing and shipping an additional hide home—either as a mount or for the hide—it can be arranged through the outfitter, provided it is done before the trip.
Permit Requirements: Non-resident alligator licenses are $150 and both fishing and gator licenses can be purchased on-line through Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries
Accomodations: Lodging and meals included
Travel Details: Transportation to and from New Orleans, Louisiana is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Dates: 2022 season, subject to mutually agreeable dates. The season opens the last Wednesday in August and runs through the end of October.

Any bid made at a Boone and Crockett Club auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, on-line or at a silent auction, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction.
Any failure of compliance with the provision above will result in the addition of any costs incurred because of non-compliance, plus the addition of interest at the rate of 1% per month, or portion thereof, that payment is late.
Most goods in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by the Boone and Crockett Club, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in both the live and silent auctions are sold “AS IS” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of the Boone and Crockett Club. The Boone and Crockett Club provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. The Boone and Crockett Club does not accept any liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by the Boone and Crockett Club. The Boone and Crockett Club shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services.
