Looking for a turkey hunting adventure? Need another bird for your Mexican Slam? Eager for top-notch lodging and meals with lots of birds? Yukkutz Hunting, one of the leading outfitters for turkey hunting throughout Mexico, has donated a guided hunt at their family-owned ranch in Northern Mexico. Your hunting areas are an hour from Eagle Pass, Texas and a shuttle will transport hunters from the San Antonio, TX airport to the ranch. Your host will be Diego Olaguibel, who is a B&C Official Measurer and “one of us.”

Hunters must harvest a Rio taken south of the border, along with an ocellated and Gould’s, to complete their Mexican Slam. Yukkutz Hunting offers hunts for all three turkeys. In the northern State of Coahuila, Rios will be the target and the hunting grounds have exceptional turkey populations. Hunters can sit in one of our pop-up blinds and let the guide do the calling or you can do your own set up and call like you do back home while accompanied by a local Mexican guide who speaks English. The weather is nice, and safety and comfort are assured.

A typical day of hunting starts with a wake-up call at 4:30am. Hunters will be treated to a light breakfast with coffee, juice, fruit, cereal and toast, then they will head to the field until noon. A big lunch and big siesta follows. Hunters will return to the hunting areas around 4:00pm and hunt until dark, and then will return to camp for a hearty supper cooked by the in-house chef who prepares meals for American hunters all season long. Expect to go home a few pounds heavier with great stories!
