This hunt will take you into north central Montana, hunting in and around the beautiful Judith Mountains, an island mountain range near Roy, Montana. This hunt is on private land with some public lands as well. Mule deer are found in good numbers. You can expect near 100% success on mature bucks with 3 to 5 points per side, 20 to 25” spreads. Hunters Montana LLC is owned and operated by Keith Atcheson. This is a small family operation with his wife Niki as the gourmet cook and son Andrew as master mule deer guide. This is a 5-day hunt.
Included are accommodation, meals, one-on-one guide service, and field prep. Not included are before and after hunt expenses, license and tag, butcher services and shipping or gratuities.
Accommodations: A rural working ranch setting with a warm and comfortable 4 bed/2 bath mobile home.
License Requirements: The hunter must contact the outfitter ASAP after the auction to discuss license draw details. License and preference points are about $1,100.
Travel Details: Fly to Billings, MT then rent a vehicle and drive 2 hours north to Roy, MT. Or drive your own vehicle to the ranch. Driving instructions will be provided.
Hunt Dates: October 24 to November 29, 2026. Dates to be decided. Contact the outfitter directly.
Type of Weapon: Rifle only.
Upgrade Options: A second mule deer hunt can be added for an additional $7,000 and the hunt becomes a 2 hunter one guide basis. Or you can add 1 whitetail deer hunter for an additional $5,000 and hunt 2x1 with the mule deer hunter. 120 to 140 B&C class whitetail deer. pronghorn are on a drawing basis and the draw odds are poor but it’s worth trying. If drawn add $1,200 to the hunt. Success is high if drawn. One observer $1,000.

Shipping arrangements and payments are to be made solely by the winning bidder with the shipper of their choice. The Boone and Crockett Club assumes no responsibility or liability of shipped items. No hard item merchandise will be delivered to buyers until the Boone and Crockett Club bank confirms full payment has been received. All hard merchandise may not be shipped until 30 days after the close of auction.

No hard item merchandise will be delivered to buyers until B&C bank confirms full payment has been received. All sales are final. NO RETURNS OF MERCHANDISE WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bidders paying by credit card require prior approval. No payments will under any circumstances be accepted from any third party not being a successful qualified Bidder. Bidders’ names and addresses to which the merchandise must be delivered may not be changed after date of sale.

Any bid made at a Boone and Crockett Club auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, on-line or at a silent auction, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction.
Any failure of compliance with the provision above will result in the addition of any costs incurred because of non-compliance, plus the addition of interest at the rate of 1% per month, or portion thereof, that payment is late.
Most goods in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by the Boone and Crockett Club, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in both the live and silent auctions are sold “AS IS” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of the Boone and Crockett Club. The Boone and Crockett Club provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. The Boone and Crockett Club does not accept any liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by the Boone and Crockett Club. The Boone and Crockett Club shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services. The purchaser also acknowledges that in the event that services are purchased, the Boone and Crockett Club cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the United States. The Boone and Crockett Club cannot be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
It is the legal responsibility of the permit buyer/holder to familiarize themselves with, and abide by, the game, outfitting, guiding, firearm use/importation or other applicable laws in the state, province or country they are hunting.
